I am pleased to write this letter on behalf of a Sue Johnson and her cattery. I speak from direct experience that the quality of the kittens she raises is unmatched, as is her professionalism and love for the cats she raises. I have known Sue for nearly six years. I adopted my dear cat Margaux, a blue cream point himalayan from Sue and Rob. Margaux has been a sheer delight from the first day I got her. When I first contacted Sue, I was full of grief stemming from the death of my cat I had had for half my life. Sue hand-selected Margaux for me. The match is perfect. Since the moment I got Margaux, every time I look at her she makes me smile and fills me with glee that I am so fortunate to share her life with her. Margaux is full of personality and life. She is a brave little girl and loves to play. I believe that her wonderful personality was shaped, in substantial part, by Sue and Sue's family. This is so because this is so obviously a cat who has known nothing but love and happiness since the moment she was born. She is perfectly trusting and curious. Most animals, and even many children, are not so lucky. My sister is a veterinarian and she said she has never heard a cat purr so loud as Margaux does (before she was named Margaux she was Inta-purr)!! From the outset, Sue was nothing but helpful, loving, and full of compassion in her relationship toward me. Even to this day she continues to take a slice of her time to answer questions I have about caring for Margaux properly, or just to send me a holiday card or email to say hello. Sue and I share a friendship forged from a common bond: a deep respect for the lives of these animals, for their beauty, and for the joy they are capable of bringing & sometimes to people who are in dire need of such joy. These strong feelings are what defines Sue as a person. Sue's commitment not only to her cats, but also to her clients, is clear as day from the moment one takes the several hours it would probably take to look over her whole website. There is nothing phony or untrue here, only honesty and respect. Sue, I believe, is one of those people who causes all who come in contact with her to be pleased both professionally and personally, and I hold her in the highest regard. My recommendation of her is unqualified and without hesitation. |
I started looking for a doll faced himmy on the internet in 1999. I was taking my time and being very careful. I found Cozy Kittens. What a beautiful web site and gorgeous kiitens. I gave Sue a call. We had a long conversation and by the end of it I not only was on list for a kitten I felt like I had made a friend. I will never forget the night my Thumper was born his mom was having a hard time with delivery. Sue was so worried. She stayed up all night making sure everything was going alright. And inbetween coming back to the computer and keeping me updated. To take the time to do that with everything she had going on was way beyond what I ever expected. Happy to say Momma and all kittens turned out just fine. I had a little seal point himmy. From the day he was born Sue kept pictures and updates coming. it was like I was there watching him grow. The day I picked him up at the airport I couldn't believe how beautiful he was. Got him home and he made himself right at home. So well adjusted. Sue and I have kept in contact ever since. This past February I put myself on waiting list for a red and white bi-colored persian. I new it might be a long wait. Then I got a phone call on March 18th. Sue was so excited. She said your baby was born today. I couldn't believe it. Yep Angel had all white kittens except for this little red and white one. Sue was so excited for me. My little Sunshine is the most beautiful and loving baby anyone could ever ask for. And now I'm getting my third little baby. I'm getting one of Bear's little red babies. I'm so excited about that. The love and care that Sue has for what she does is the reason I am the owner of three Cozy Kittens. She has worked hard to to make her cattery what it is today! Just look into the eyes of every cat that Sue has photograghed. I see them looking at her with love and security. It shows! I love the fact Sue's cattery is "Controlled", In my opinion keeping the kittens close to their mom when she is teaching litter habits is the only way to go. My Thumper and Sunshine are the two cleanest cats in everything they do. That doesn't happen by accident. A "Controlled Cattery" keeps blood lines pure! Just look at the pics of the cattery, nursery, and birthing rooms. My house should look that clean and beautiful. I know if I were searching the web for a breeder I would not look at the one that is using it to try to hurt another breeder. I would check into the breeder whose web site is attractive, informative and fun. Thats the person I would call. And once you've made that call you will make a new friend just like I did.

My daughter and I are the elated owners of a delightfully cute and perky toy tiger Persian kitten, bred to perfection by Sue Johnson, owner of the Cozy Kitten Cattery. Our little kitten, Owen, has the most chubby furry cheeks and cuddily desposition of any kitty we're ever known. He is playful and very responsive. We sometimes believe Owen thinks he's a dog, as he comes when called and wags his fluffy tail incessantly when being petted. He is brave beyond belief, easily becoming assimilated in our two maxi-sized Persain cat household. Our mini Owen rules the roost and cuddles as much with his brother kitties as he does with his owners. I owe this graceful transition to our home totally to Sue Johnson's nurturing philosphy and breeding techniques. Sue clearly loves every one of her kittens, stressing good hygiene, medical treatment, nutrition, and most importantly, lots of attention from the onset. Owen is probably so responsive to us because in Sue's household he was constantly loved and held. We will always be grateful to Sue for her special intervention in allowing us to bring Owen home. She plied us with kitten baby photos and frequent email updates in the weeks prior to our visit to pick Owen up from the cattery. We were always well appraised of our kitten's growth and progress. I heartily recommend Sue Johnson as a primo Persian breeder to anyone who wishes to adopt a beautiful, playful, responsive, and loving kitten. We couldn't
be more pleased with our lovable cozy kitten, Owen!

We first found The Cozy Kitten Cattery about 6 years ago on the internet. At that time we wanted to get a kitten but we couldn't have one in the apartment where we lived. We knew that someday we would move and be able to adopt one. Over the years we checked Sue's site at least once a week just to see what was happening. Late last year we purchased our first condo. We immediately filled out an application for a Cozy Kitten. Sue was great and has been wonderful throughout the entire process. We had many questions that she answered quickly. Then one morning a few months ago we got a call early in the morning. It was Sue. She told us that there was a female flame point Himalayan available. This is just what we wanted. We were so excited. Now we just had to wait for our little girl to grow up enough so that she could be flown to us...10 weeks later we were on the way to the airport. We had already purchased all the toys, bowls, litter, litter box and everything else that we needed. And it was all waiting for our little Punim. We picked up Punim from the cargo terminal in the afternoon. We brought her home and opened up her pet carrier next to her litter box. We coaxed her out and put her paws up on the litter box. She immediately did her business and then found her food/water bowls and had a snack. Then she spent the next hour exploring and by the end of that hour she acted as if she had always been with us. She has the best personality and is the most loving kitty. That first night she jumped up on our bed and slept in between us. What more could we have asked for.

Two years ago while surfing the net I came upon Sue's web page. Staring out from the page was a darling little girl hugging a beautiful cat. As I clicked through the web site I was absolutely captivated by her beautiful cats and kittens. One was more beautiful then the next. I hoped one day to be able to purchase one of these exquisite cats. In August 2003 Ana, a gorgeous Chocolate Himmi, was put up for adoption. I immediately called Sue and left a message. She called me right back and said that, yes, Ana was still available. From that point on Sue took me through every step that would bring Ana to my home in California. Sue is an extremely dedicated cat breeder. She loves each cat and kitten as if they are the only one she has. She is one of the friendliest people I have ever met, and knows each cat and kitten inside and out. When it came time to ship Ana to California, Sue kept me up to date on everything from flight information to how Ana was feeling when she left Sue's cattery. Sue told me she cried when she had to part with Ana. That is true devotion. Ana arrived at the Sacramento Airport at 10pm on Saturday night. When I bent down to see her and put my fingers through the cage, she licked them! and was purring like a little cat machine. She didn't seem traumatized at all from her 5 hour flight. While I drove home she never made a peep. She was happy and content in her little cat taxi. When I got her home and let her out I found that Sue had sent a special blanket with Ana and several cat toys. There was even a little water dish in case Ana got thirsty on the flight. Ana still loves to lay on that blanket with all it's smells from her first home. I have now had Ana for three years. She has bonded wonderfully with my other two cats, a Blue Point himmi and a Black Smoke Persian. She even licks them every once in a while. She is my constant companion, sitting on the toilet seat while I get ready in the morning, sleeping with me at night and laying with me on the sofa. She is extremely intelligent and is more like a little dog then a cat. If I call her she comes running. She is an extremely well adjusted cat and there is not a mean bone in her body. I absolutely adore her. She would be a perfect cat for the movies or commercials because she is so responsive. |
Feeling a bit uncomfortable working with "strangers" over the intranet, I nonetheless began my search looking for local breeders. I slowly realized that staying local was not bringing much luck so I began to look at breeders throughout the country. One day I found Sue's website and was amazed at how beautiful it was in comparison to other websites that I had seen. It just had a more "warm and friendly" feel to it and was more user-friend with lots of pictures. But what amazed me most of all were how beautiful Sue's cats were! I then discovered that the "doll-faced" Persian was what I was looking for! What a relief to find Sue's website after seeing so many breeders with the so-called "peked faced" type that was not attractive to me! Still, I kept Sue's cattery in the back of my mind, hoping to find a breeder closer to home because at the time I was not comfortable with the shipping process. As time passed with no luck in finding anything local that compared to Sue's cattery, I contacted Sue again asking more questions about how she ships her cats. Sue immediately made me feel comfortable and at easy with her friendly, easy-going and honest personality. At this point, I really needed to hear a friendly voice so I could feel comfortable doing business (along with sending money!) with someone I didn't know. As time passed, a level of trust began to develop between the both of us, despite our inability to meet personally. Sue convinced me that the shipping would not be a problem and helped to make me feel comfortable with the entire process. Well our little cream Persian, Nicky is now with us and he is a very sweet, affectionate and friendly kitten! The shipping experience went very well for all of us, including Nicky. Nick has adjusted amazing well in a very short time and we love him!

I knew it when I talked with her on the phone but I got my proof when I arrived at Continental Airlines and shipping brought 2 pet taxis from 2 different breeders, One was a puppy and the other was (Keystone ) my kitty whom I now call Sammy , the puppy was in his carrier with nothing and he looked scared , Sammy my kitty was in a carrier surrounded with love, he had: his blankie, stuffed bunny all his favorite toys ect... he was sitting proud, as the man brought him closer, my mouth dropped open, I couldn't believe it !!!!! He was even more beautiful then his pictures ........ I took him out and he purred and licked my chin, he smelled so good, as I laughed with happiness kissing him on his head ....... I've had him almost 2 weeks now , the days are filled with playtime, and when he is tired he is loving and cuddley ...... I lost my cat Snickers of 12 yrs to kidney failure and never thought I could bond with another cat. Sue really knows what she is doing, she helped me heal my pain by sending me my little love bug - I would recomend Sue and (Cozy Kitten ) highly if you are searching for a kitty .........:) |

Several weeks prior to our daughter Anna's 6th birthday, we decided to purchase a Persian kitten for her. She loves cats and we thought that it would make a perfect gift. To that end, we began to check the classified section of the local newspaper as well as area pet stores. Then one evening while on the computer, my husband ran a search for Persian kittens and was subsequently inundated with a vast number of breeders from all over the country. Then he hit upon the web site that we consider to be nothing short of excellent. It contained numerous pictures of the most adorable kittens that we ever saw. We sent a short e-mail message to Sue Johnson expressing an interest in the possible purchase of one of her kittens. Sue's reply arrived a short time later along with a "Kitten Application." She answered all of our questions and explained that she makes every effort to fit her kittens with the perfect family. Wow! Someone out there that takes a real interest in the welfare of her kittens and is not just trying to make a buck. We were very impressed! We expressed an interest in a Red Tabby that was born on January 24, 2001. We were elated when we learned that the Red Tabby would be reserved for our daughter, Anna. No money had changed hands; Sue advised that there would be time for that later down the road. Since the kitten was only a couple weeks old, Anna would have to wait for her special gift. "Not a problem" Sue advised. I'll keep Anna updated of her growth and activities by sending her pictures through e-mail. Anna's birthday was February 15, 2001 Sue prepared a special computer generated birthday card for her with the picture of her kitten (named Cassie) in a basket. Anna's excitement was overwhelming. Then Sue dedicated a page of her web site as "Anna's Page" where she displayed numerous pictures depicting Cassie's growth and playful demeanor with her siblings. Sue also sent communiques to Anna on practically a daily basis to help the time pass. Ann's excitement was a joy to behold. Then came the big long awaited day when we traveled to Sue's Cozy Kitten Cattery where we met Sue and her family, and Anna received her little fluffy Cassie. Sue showed us around and we played with all the cute adorable kittens. The love and care that these kittens received was very evident. We would have loved to take them all. Cassie is now a member of our family and is loved dearly by all. She brings much love and joy to our household. She is the most adorable kitten and is as gentle and as well behaved as can be imagined! Our experience with Sue has been fabulous. We can not say enough good things about her. Anyone considering purchasing a Persian or Himalayan kitten, we strongly recommend you contacting Sue. You won't be disappointed. |

Well, things have certainly changed since the 1940's. We no longer have Presidents stopping by for dinner and chatting the evening away discussing state secrets. We do, however, have two adult cats named Emerson & Tasha. Both of our "kids" are more important to us than all the plutonium in the world, so you can imagine how devastating it was when Tasha passed away a few months ago at the age of fifteen. Most pet owners know the void that results from losing a devoted "member of the family", so Tasha's passing was no exception.
I found Sue while doing some preliminary searches on the Internet for "doll faced" Himalayan kittens. I felt it was important to eventually get a companion for Emerson since this house seemed so empty after Tasha's death. I began checking out her website and quickly realized that the raising of healthy and happy "doll-faced" Persian and Himalayan kittens was one of her passions in life. It also became evident to me that Sue is not in this line of work only to earn a living, but to also provide a service in finding loving homes for her adorable “fur babies”. I continued to read the vast amount of information she has available on the site, and eventually found myself in the "available kittens" category. Trust me, I had no intention of actually getting a kitten so soon after Tasha's death, but as fate would have it, there he was!!! Love at first sight would be an understatement for this little "Blue point" Himalayan! According to the website, this baby was available again since their landlord informed the couple he was promised to that pets were not allowed in their apartment. I immediately sent an E-mail to Sue asking if he was in fact still available. Sue responded within the hour to inform me that he was, along with her phone number in the event I actually wanted to speak with her about this little guy!

15 years ago when I was 6 years old I woke up on a Saturday night before Christmas to this little ball of fluff being placed on my face. So started my best friend and my journey through life together. My parents had gotten me a little blue point himalayan who I named Ribbons, and we've spent every day together every since, living out our adventures. Flash forward to the present and Ribbons is entering the end of his life. I've loved him so much that I wanted to get another kitten, just like him so I that could always have a ball of fluff in my life. So I went looking for the breeder we bought him from and found that she now focuses only on breeding persians and himmies with that peeked faced (his parents were show cats when the traditional look was favored still). I have never been a fan of that smooshed look, or the sounds of those cats struggling to breath. I started researching it and found out that those cats are inbreed(if it's wrong for people to do it, shouldn't it be wrong to do that to our animals?) and discovered all the health problems they can have. So I started my search. I needed to find a traditional faced breeder. I looked for a while trying to find one near me, in the North West. I found one, but her cats just didn't have the beautiful coat my Ribbons does. I wanted a kitten similar to him. Finally one lucky day I stumbled upon the Cozy Kittens website. Right there in front of my eyes was a picture of a kitten that look EXACTLY like my baby did when he was his younger self. But the breeder lived all the way across the country. I spent a couple of weeks just browsing her site. Looking at all her kittens, and the breeder cats. They were all so beautiful, and I could look right there on the site and see where the cats live (and the pictures of the nursery made me smile) so I finally contacted Sue. I've heard other people say this, and I will to. She really interviewed me more then I did her. I talked to her for 45 min that first time, and hung up knowing that here was a woman who truly did love himmies and persians to the extent that she didn't care about breeding cat that could be in a show ring. She breeds cats that are healthy above all else. Beautiful beyond belief too, but their health comes first to Sue. So I signed up to get another blue point. Sometimes God works in mysterious ways. You can get addicted to Sue's site. I checked it everyday for updates and to see if any kittens were available that grabbed my attention. Then towards the end of August I saw my Halo Holly. I fell in love. Sue wrote that she had all this energy and an invisible friend that she plays with all by her self. I had to have her. I was nervous about her being shipped across the country, and the wait for her to be ready seemed longer then it really was, but Sue kept sending me pictures and emails almost every day telling me about things Halo was doing to keep me happy. In October Halo came home. Can I tell you, Sue really does have some kind of "kitty magic" that she spread to each cat she touches. Halo walked right into our house and hearts, tired from her long trip, but not with out any of her spunk. When she met Ribbons she walked right up to him like she had known him all her life and he looked at her like "Hey, you're fluffy like me, I like that". My other cat, Kit-Kat, was more reserved around her, and jealous at first, but now I know I could never separate them. They play together all day, and most of the night, getting into all kinds of trouble (they almost knocked over the tree together this Christmas;). But when Halo's ready for bed, if we haven't brought her into our bedroom she will meow like crazy till I open the door and let her in, then hops up on her spot on our bed and she's fine. In the mornings she's waiting for me when I get out of the shower, and follows me around like a little shadow all over the house. My two year old son can pic her up and carry her around and she won't fight him. And her purr is the loudest, sweetest, most steady thing I've heard. She has stolen the hearts of everyone who's met her. I can't imagine my life, or our family with out her, or her invisible friend that she did bring with her;). If you are interested in getting a persian or himalayan then you really should buy one that won't have the health problems, nor the pain of trying to breath when you have almost no nose. When it comes to breeders of the traditional look, Sue is the best. Her kittens are a testament of how much she loves every cat that enters her home. God has truly blessed her with the gift of furry purry kitty magic. I definitely recommend that you get your own ball of fluff. The love that you feel when you look into their eyes is worth everything to me. |

In my line of work (property management/real estate) I often receive referral request from various vendors. I rarely provide them as I will only endorse someone I believe wholeheartedly in, and someone I know will provide the same quality of service to others as they provide to me. With that stated, I would like to tell you why I am submitting this unsolicited referral and about our experiences with Cozy Kittens. Our experience with Cozy Kittens began in January 2003 upon the loss of Sable, our "baby" of fifteen years. Sable's death created a crater sized hole in our hearts, as well as in the heart of Bugsy, our 10 year old himalayan. We knew our lives would not be complete until we had found the purrfect furr-baby to help fill the void. We did a lot of praying and then commenced our search by visiting local animal shelters, adoption agencies and vet clinics. To our dismay there did not seem to be a connection with any kitten or cat (we were not picky as to age or type of feline). This problem came as a total surprise as I had NEVER EVER had that problem before - I normally want to take every one of them home!! Additionally, it seemed 60% of the animals either had active FeLv or were carriers of it. Which in my mind, the other 40% were somewhat at danger as they could have been exposed being in the same shelter. This is something we could not accept as we would never compromise Bugsy's health in any way. After discussing the matter, Dale suggested we purchase a kitten from a breeder which would enable us to know the health history of its parents. I began my search by typing in Persians into my search engine. Numerous sites came up - all of them various links of Cozy Kittens. I could not understand why only one cattery was all that was found. As you will see, later in my research I found the answer to that question. I visited the Cozy Kittens web site and was instantly entranced. I visited the site so often over the next couple of weeks Dale accused me of being addicted to it. Finally I worked up enough nerve to call Sue - (I was vulnerable and I knew it. In my mind by calling a breeder I was opening up myself to be taken in by a salesperson). I have never been so happy in my life to be so wrong!! When Sue answered I began by telling her of our situation. Within minutes I felt at easy and knew I had found a rarity - a breeder more concerned about her kittens and people than the almighty dollar. Unfortunately, Sue did not have the black Persian we desired. Sue, though she had a kitten available, went out of her way to put me in contact with other reputable breeders who might have a black kitten. She educated me on the questions to ask, the things to both look for and to avoid and offered to view any pictures or information I had to help ensure we were purchasing a healthy kitten. All of this from a person I had never met or spoken to before. Sue offered these services never asking for or expecting anything in return - only the knowledge she helped heal a broken heart. We contacted the various breeders and were not impressed, each for various reasons. We went back to our search engine, typed in persians and numerous links throughout the world came up. I could not understand this - I had typed in the exact same verbiage the first time!! Again, the answer would come later. I began searching the various sites and it soon became obvious Cozy Kittens was in a class of its own. During this research time (a period of approximately 4 weeks) Bugsy, our himalayan became more and more despondent. He kept looking for Sable in all their old haunts, stopped eating, cried all night, etc, etc. It was bad enough that our hearts were already broken, but to watch Bugsy going through declining grief was almost unbearable. It became obvious we were going to have to reach a decision sooner than we had anticipated for Bugsy sake. I called Sue back and told her of our dilemma and she embraced it as if it were her own - going as far as to offer me a six month old kitten she had held back as a breeder. She stated the chocolate point himalayan she had first told me about four weeks earlier was still available. Sue said she would immediately forward pictures of the kitten, as she had recently taken some, and would take pictures of the six month old she had held back and forward them the next day. Sue never got the opportunity to send the pictures of her intended breeder - we fell instantly in love with the chocolate point. We were scared - we had never purchased anything over the internet - especially something so important - and what if the connection wasn't there - and what if it was trick photography - etc, etc. With contact completed we waited years (okay, actually 4 weeks - just seemed like years - LOL) to bring our baby home. During that time Sue and her family kept us informed on Cocoa's antics through pictures and e-mails. When our big day finally came we arranged to meet the Johnson's in Kansas City. Sue and Rob went out of their way to bring us up-to-date on Cocoa's care and his preferences. They even went as far as to lead us to a local pet store on the other side of KC just so we could purchase the cat tree he favored while at the cattery. From the moment I pried Cocoa out of Sue's arms (LOL) I knew all our fears were unfounded - the connection that had been missing with others was immediate. By the time we made it across town to the pet store, Cocoa already had me wound around his paw!! Six hours later when I got home I e-mailed Sue and told her the truth - I never knew it was possible to love something so deeply and so quickly. Twelve hours later we called Sue and Rob again - frantic because we had "lost" Cocoa - I just knew I had mixed him up with the laundry and thrown him in the washer...(LOL) Rob told us not to panic - he did not laugh at our hysteria nor tell us to bring Cocoa back because we were worthless "parents". Instead he calmly told us stories of other families who had called because they had "lost" their new kitten also. He gave us ideas on where to look and what to do, got us laughing and not feeling so worthless. We followed Rob's advise and within minutes Cocoa came crawling out from a very small and dark spot underneath a dresser - just stretching, looking like an innocent angel - never knowing the panic he had put us through. They did not mind when we called the next week looking for advise on how to deal with loose stool from Cocoa's desire to eat Bugsy's food and vise versa. Each call they took the time to answer our questions and walk us through - even though I know they were facing personal crisis in their household. To this day - more than six months later - they take an active interest in how Cocoa is developing. As for Cocoa himself, I have never seen a kitten (and I have had many) who is so well adjusted and loving. On our way home from picking him up we stopped at Dale's parents home. They have always accepted our pets in the past but never been enthralled with them. Within minutes they were holding Cocoa and were in love with him. A week later Federal Express delivered a package - To Cocoa - from Grandma and Grandpa. Now they often inquire about Cocoa before asking about us!! Our vet, who had tried to talk us out of purchasing a pure bred, stated he had never seen a healthier kitten. He is known for laying everything on the line and he said "you got a good one!". I consider this high praise from a leader in veterinary care!! I now understand why only the Cozy Kittens link came up when I began my search - I had specifically prayed God would lead me to the best and leave no doubt of this in my mind. It was plain He answered my prayers by leading me to the Johnson's. There is much more I could say in praise of Cozy Kittens and the Johnson's, and would consider it a pleasure to personally answer any questions you may have in regard to my experiences. I am not the best about checking my e-mail, so please feel free to contact Sue and request my home phone number if you do not get an immediate response to your inquires. But please, rest assured the care, attention and dedicated that you see given to the Cozy Kittens web site is as true and pure as the care, attention and dedication the Johnson's continue to provide to their extended "Cozy Kitten Family". |

I love my Britney, a wonderful tuxedo Persian that I purchased from you 4 years ago. She is adorable and healthy and her personality is delightful. She was shipped to me with all possible care and arrived in good shape. She has never had any health problems. Every night she arrives on my pillow and licks my finger and purrs. Every afternoon she waits her turn on a kitchen chair to be brushed. I have multiple cats (many!) and she frolics with all of them. There is never a confrontation between her and anybody. She has befriended my new rescue kitten - as is her special way of being pals with anybody who desires her companionship. I would adopt many more of Sue's kittens (or cats) if I didn't have so many rescue cats already. I can't think of a better place to go for a wonderful kitty. No matter how busy Sue was, she always made time for me as we were going through the adoption process. We still keep in touch and I send her photos of Britney. Sue Johnson and her husband give their all (and more) to their Cozy Kittens, do not overbreed, are extremely careful who they adopt out to, and have the best care and facilities possible for their babies.

I want to write to you and let you (and anyone else who is interested) know what our experience has been with the two kittens we purchased from Cozy Kittens cattery about 5 years ago. We spent a long time with no cats after our last two cats died (they passed away within a few months of each other at the ripe old age of 16). They were beautiful Himalayans, a seal point and a lilac point. For a couple years we were too upset at their passing to consider getting a new cat. Eventually we started looking around for kittens, and found that most Himalayans these days are bred with strange, pushed in noses. Our old cats (born in 1984) did not have these grotesque features, and we seriously considered getting a different breed instead. But we liked the typical Himalayan personality, as well as their beauty (the ones without squashed noses, anyway). We had about given up on getting Himalayans when we ran across the Cozy Kittens Cattery web site. What a great day that was! Someone who was willing to breed healthy, beautiful Himalayans and Persians. I'm pretty cautious about sending money to web sites. I spent several months following along as it was updated daily, and had several telephone conversations with Sue Johnson, the breeder. These convinced me that Sue was someone who shared my values in what is appropriate for cat breeding (i.e., always keeping the best interests of the cats uppermost in mind, not the whims of cat "fashions"). After a while I felt comfortable placing an order for two kittens, a boy and a girl. Our little furrballs were born, and we eagerly followed their progress in pictures Sue sent us, waiting until they were old enough to fly out to the west coast. We got a black persian girl we named "Misty" and a seal point Himmie boy we named "Foggy." Eventually the big day of their arrival came, and we drove to the airport to collect them, beside ourselves with excitement. I was thinking that Misty and Foggy would be scared from the flight and the totally new surroundings. As it turned out though, they came out of their pet taxi right away and started looking around. They sniffed us over, licked our hands a couple times, then set off to explore the house. That pretty much set the stage. Ever since then, they have been affectionate, curious, playful, and energetic. They race around the house, then come jump in our laps and purr loudly, soaking up our attention. Misty is the better jumper, and is totally fearless in all things. She'll jump up on anything, and, occasionally, fall off it and look embarrassed. Foggy is more laid back and calmer. They love playing with the laser pointer, their special dangly feather toys, and each other. They groom each other and - we always find this amusing - like to use the cat box together. We had thought we would discipline them with a squirt bottle, but it turns out they love water and consider the squirt bottle a great toy. They like to lie in the bathroom sink and won't get out even when we turn the water on. We finally have to pull them out to brush our teeth. Sometimes we will find them lying in the shower, and they occasionally refuse to leave even when we turn the water on. Of course, we've had them at the vets for their initial checkup and their shots. They have been given a clean bill of health on every visit. In fact, first time we went in, the assistant vet just had to show Misty around to all the other vets since she is so cute. (Misty is jet black, with eyes the color of new pennies. Really stunning.) And this is a big city practice with 4 full time DVMs, too, not a little country place. I'm really glad I came across the Cozy Kittens Cattery web site that day. Even as I've been writing this, Misty has come up into my lap, checking to make sure I really like her more than that stupid keyboard. Assured with some petting and good chin scratching, she leaped back down and walked away, purring, tail high in the air. I'm so happy we have Misty and Foggy in our lives, and would recommend Cozy Kittens Cattery to my family, friends, or anyone else. Please feel free to share this with anyone who is interested in the Cozy Kittens Cattery "user experience."

My name is Layla Al-Hajji and I bought 2 kittens from Cozy Kitten Cattery 11 years ago. I spent alot of time researching nearly all the breeders of persian kittens, and I what drew me to Sue's cattery was the most adorable kittens I have ever seen, on her webpage. They look so healthy and so happy. I also like the fact that she shows you pictures of where and how she keeps the kittens, most breeders don't do that. I decided to call her just to inquire if she had any female kittens available, and I was so impressed with how friendly she was and how she told me the whole process of how the kittens will beshipped to me and so on. I ended up buying two males from her on the spot! She sent me loads of pictures by email of my kittens, which made me very excited to meet them. And she sent the kiitens to me a week later. They travelled all the way from Kansas to Miami by plane. I picked them up from the airline counter, and they were brought to me just 15 minutes after the flight landed. I expected them to be scared, or upset by the whole process, but they came right out of their carrier and wanted to play. I must say that they were very brave, and they settled within days. I originally wanted one kitten, but to see them together I realize that their life is a whole lot more fun for them together. I am so glad that I didn't get one kitten now, they have so much fun together and they are so loving towards me too. I really am very happy with them. They have so much character it amazes me! I would definately recommend Cozy Kitten Cattery. The kittens are just wonderful. They are not scared of the vacum, music or just basic household sounds which makes those first few days a lot less stressful for them. I even have a Maltese dog that they are not scared of. Sue made sure that the kittens were well prepared for life in their new home, and I can honestly to look at them you would think they have been here forever. I am very happy with them and with Cozy Kitten Cattery for sending me the two most adorable kittens.
